The Movie: A24 is a prominent horror production company that has given us many nightmares, none as disturbing as Hereditary. A prominent family is faced with tragedy when their grandmother dies. Soon after the house starts to feel haunted, the family near self-destruction. What terrible secrets did their matriarch have? And what will they do to the family?
The Kid: Charlie is the (not so lovable) youngest child of two and has an affiliation for dead things. Charlie is an artist of a different breed. Her only close friend was her grandmother, who now haunts her.
Where to watch: Amazon Prime, Youtube, Google Play, Vudu
Pet Semetary(1989) Gage
The Movie: Always listed and always should be, unless that remake is fantastic. If you seriously haven’t seen any Pet Semetary movies you have got to see the one that started the mania. Pet Semetary(1989) is slow as hell with satisfying death. There’s something to be said about a movie scars you AND makes you crack up.
The Kid: Well, you probably know the lore of Pet Semetary, Gage is tragically killed and the father revels in the decision to try and bring him back, or let him stay dead. Needless to say he comes back.

Alice, Sweet Alice(1976) Alice
The Movie: This is a weird one, folks. A number of gross tenants and visitors, a murdered Brooke Shields, and a neglected sister make up its menagerie of characters. A now cult classic, Alice Sweet Alice offers a mind twisting, gut wrenching series of events that make you almost root for the villain, and the murders.
The Kid: Alice is just a misunderstood forgotten child, it’s not easy being the “bad one”. Alice is tormented by the adults around her and has finally found a way to be in control.
Where to watch: Amazon Prime, Tubi
Sinister 2(2015) Killer Nightmare Kids
The Movie: You may need to turn the lights on after this one. Sinister was pretty scary, but not nearly as shocking as its sequel. It is hard to explain without giving too much away, but these kids are scary as all get out. A new young family flees to an abandoned house where Bughuul awaits new children to take.
The Kid: The kids are so scary in Sinister 2! They take on very physical and disturbing forms when haunting their new recruit. They manipulate the brothers against each other after tormenting them with home movies.
Where to watch: Amazon Prime, Youtube, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu
Parents(1989) Michael/The Boy
The Movie: A forgotten cult classic waiting to be watched by you! Parents is a lot more fun if you don’t read too many descriptions and keep an open mind. Michael’s family has just moved to a new town; he refuses to eat, he fears his father, and suffers from night terrors. Over all this movie is hilarious, and pretty bloody.
The Kid: This is a different breed of creepy kid. Michael does not talk for about the first five minutes and is clearly paranoid. The boy is our protagonist, is kind of badass, and creeps me out!
Where to watch: Amazon Prime, Youtube, Google Play, Vudu, Tubi
The Ring(2002) Samara
The Movie(s): They sort of fall of there at the end, but the first American version shook its audience with graphic imagery and disturbing content. The Ring introduced the world to the unforgiving nature of Samara. Just when someone thinks they have solved the curse or put her soul to rest- Samara comes right back.
The Kid: Samara is the inspiration of a Japanese novel character that is still haunting the country. She (in brief) was a child with psychic powers that drove her adoptive mother to madness. Being thrown and sealed in a well left her spirit vengeful and gave birth to her (American) curse.
Where to Watch: Amazon, YouTube, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu
The Witch(2015) Thomassin
The Movie: The tragic story of a shunned New England family in the 1630s (oddly specific), they must settle on their own and create a new life. Soon after plotting their cabin, the family is stricken with grief. And more grief. All of the dialogue is sources from journals written in the time, giving the film a disturbing authenticity.
The Kid: Okay, all of the kids are creepy – especially the young twins. Thomassin, the eldest, teases her young siblings with threats of witchcraft and terrorizes them when she can. Her doubt in her father and religion make her a dangerous mind for the setting.
Where to Watch: Amazon, YouTube, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, Available on Netflix
The Amityville Horror(2005) Jodie
The Movie: Not my favorite Amityville movie, but it does have the BEST ghosts. Decently paced and great affects, it does horror justice. The Lutz family movies in to the Amityville house shortly after the previous family had been murdered. Of course, you can guest the family is haunted and tormented by the spirits of the house and they are forced to leave.
The Kid: Jodie is the youngest daughter of the family before the Lutz’s arrival. She befriends the youngest Lutz girl and takes every opportunity to freak out the living and even incapacitate them.

The Loved Ones(2009) Lola
The Movie: The beginning is short, sweet, and a little off putting. You follow the boy and his torment after a car accident kills his father. He must get back into the social life, but how if he never makes it homecoming? The Loved Ones is an insane AU horror knock out, once the film gets started, only clips of comic relief allow your heart to catch up!
The Kid: Lola is your every day outcast high schooler – except for her favorite hobby and collection. Her tantrums are unmatched, and her relationship with her father is beyond creepy. She only wants to be loved.
